There are several steps to the application process:

  • Step 1

Check our Income Guidelines to determine if you are eligible for a GPGP garden. If you are, you can either:
If you are not applying online, return your completed application to:
    Growing Places Garden Project
    P.O. Box 17
    Clinton, MA  01510

Please remember that all required items must be completed, including the income information, or we can not process the application.

If you are a tenant at your home or hosting the garden at a location other than where you live, GPGP will also send a letter to the landowner asking for permission to build the garden on his/her property.

  • Step 2

A site visit will be scheduled with you during a time when you are available so that we can discuss where to situate the garden on the property. You will need a sunny spot for vegetables to grow, so keep your eyes open on sunny days to see where your yard gets the sun the longest.

  • Step 3

If it has been determined that you and your location are eligible to receive a garden, you will be notified by GPGP to confirm that you will receive a garden. If the program is full, you will be put on a list for next year. If you are not eligible, you will be notified by GPGP telling you why the garden will not work for you and your site.
